Now the testimonials:

First, let me express my gratitude and admiration for the significant sacrifice and achievement of Valerie Van Booven during the past months while introducing the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program to active and retired civilian employees, postal workers and members of the Uniformed Services and the families of each group, a universe of about 20 million people. Without the presenters' assistance the success of the program would not have been achieved.

Valerie Van Booven was one of 17 presenters who traveled nationwide during the months of July through December of 2002, conducting 2020 sessions in 210 cities within 43 states. This accomplishment is especially significant in that these presenters appeared before 88,000 attendees. As an unprecedented achievement, the insurance industry will reap the rewards, and certainly within the long-term care insurance arena.

The performance of Valerie VanBooven was measured in several areas:

  • interest level of attendees in applying for coverage before attending the
  • session
  • interest level of attendees in applying for coverage after the session
  • demonstration of knowledge on the subject
  • overall presentation skills.

Valerie Van Booven had an extremely high rating in these categories that led to meeting the needs of the Office of Personnel Management of our Federal government, Metropolitan Life and John Hancock. You can be assured that Valerie has set the highest standards of skills, knowledge, and ethics in this industry, and would be asked to participate in future projects if the opportunity presented itself. Valerie will be an asset to any organization involved in the sales of long-term care insurance.

In April 2002, Valerie presented “Long Term Care Insurance- What You Should Know” at the Midwest Chapter annual meeting. With 41 people in attendance, her evaluations were rated consistently “Excellent” or “5” on a scale of 1-5. The criteria being assessed were: Knowledge of the subject, Met objectives, Use of Audiovisual, Appropriateness of handouts, Information of use to you, and Effectiveness of speaker. Key comments from some of the participants included: “Very knowledgeable, well-prepared, responded well to questions.” “Great presentation.” “Great” was used frequently on the speaker evaluation forms- which really sums up Valerie’s knowledge and ability to teach others about the subject of Long Term Care Insurance in an interesting and understandable manner. She takes a complicated and dry subject and transforms it into a presentation that is meaningful to her audience.
